The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will be making an appearance at 8th Avenue East and Nokomis Street Railroad Crossing by Hubbard Feed Mill for "Making A Difference, One Stop at a Time"!  The Claytones and Tracey Brown will be performing.  Bring a cash or food donation that will benefit the Douglas County Outreach Food Shelf.    

On December 8 from 5 pm to 10 pm is Jingle Bells Telethon!  Jingle Bells is set up to help people in need  throughout Douglas County and the surrounding areas, especially during the holiday season. This year's Jingle Bells Telethon will be held at the Lake Geneva Christian Center and the fun & entertainment will be broadcasted live on Selective TV due to a partnership with Gardonville Cooperative. As in the years past, donations received prior to and on the night of the telethon will receive recognition during the telethon. On Thursday, November 29, the Broadway Ballroom is hosting an event for snowboarding fans and athletes. A screening of the Nations Foundation’s second snowboarding film, ANTHROPOLOGY which starts at 7 pm.  Visitors will also get the chance to meet two of the featured snowboarders from the film, Nick Visconti and Ryan Paul.  The event is free to the public, and there will be a drawing to win a free Zion Snowboard.   For more information about the film and Nations Foundations, please visit http://www.nationsfilms.com/.

The Fall Classic at the Viking Speedway in Alexandria was postponed to October 11th - 13th. This is always an exciting event for racing fans!!
