The  annual "Art In The Park"  sponsored by the Alexandria Area Arts Association is Saturday July 25th  9am-5pm and Sunday July 26th 10am-4pm at City Part with art and a craft fair along with 150 booths, food and entertainment.

Vikingland Band Festival

JUNE 28 1:30pm-3pm.  The Midwest’s finest high school marching bands gather in Alexandria for the Vikingland Band Festival parade marching championship. Join in the fun as many groups put on their best show down Broadway in Alexandria! Grab a lawn chair, find a good spot and enjoy! Eight different bands have claimed the Grand Champion title in the Festival’s 30-year history. Join us to see who rises to the top in 2015! Event is free and open to the public!

Minnesota State H.O.G. Motorcycle Rally

June 25-27, The Minnesota Harley Owners Group will be hosting  the “RUNESTONE RUMBLE…Bringing you back” 2015 Minnesota HOG Rally. Activities will include self guided and guided rides, bike games, bike show, off bike games and time to socialize and unwind. You will have an opportunity to explore antique shops, museums, a winery, a whiskey distillery and travel around the lovely lakes area. For info and registration call (320)766-0033.

Walking History Tour

On June 24 9:30am-11am, Learn about one of Alexandria’s most Historic areas of town, the Silk Stocking District, on this guided history walking tour. Participants will walk around 2 miles total. Wine and Art Crawl 2015

National Get Outdoors Day

Celebrate “National Get Outdoors Day” with activities and nature tours at Lake Carlos State Park June 13 10am-2pm.. On this day, vehicle permits are not required to enter the park. Come explore on your own: Fish, Hike, Swim, Canoe, Paddle Boat, Geocache or have a picnic. The Visitor Center will be open and have crafts and other planned activities for this special day, which are sure to connect you and your family to the outdoors! 2015 Trap Shooting Championship

Central Lakes Trail Bike Tour

June 3, 2015 starting at 5pm at the Big Ole Parking Lot, Ben Eckhof will take you on the The Central Lakes State Bike Trail, a 55 mile former railroad route turned paved bike trail that runs through three counties and 10 communities. Ben will give some basic tips on bike and trail safety and etiquette. Trail users will enjoy the many differing landscape views, ranging from open grassland/prairie, lakes, wetlands, farmland and forested rolling hills.  No bike? No problem! Community Education has a group rate available for bike rentals from Jake's Bike. Get outside, join the fun! No charge for bike tour, $5 rental charge for bike.
